DrEliotEdwards

Eliot W. Edwards, ND, FABNO is a Naturopathic Physician and has been practicing for over 15 years. After graduating in 2002 from National College of Naturopathic Medicine he returned to upstate New York, where he grew up, to start his practice. His focus initially was general naturopathic medicine, treating a variety of conditions including Autoimmune Diseases, Cardiovascular Disease, Gastrointestinal disorders, Women’s Health, Diabetes, and Cancer – to name a few. He has always practiced in an integrative setting along-side of Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists and Massage Therapists.

As Dr. Edwards continued his practice, he was seeing more and more cancer patients. In 2009 he was offered a position at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, in Zion, IL. At CTCA, Dr. Edwards worked along-side medical oncologists providing an integrative approach to cancer care. After working exclusively with cancer patient for 4 years at CTCA, in April 2013 he became a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncologists (FABNO) after completing a rigorous application process and passing his board certification examination.

Dr. Edwards looks to support his patients in whatever capacity they are interested. However, it is important that patients are engaged and empowered in their health care and that they are active participants in this process. It is also important that patient’s oncologists are aware of the integrative support Dr. Edwards is recommending.

Dr. Edwards has a passion for teaching and has lectured extensively at naturopathic medical conferences, hospital organizations, and community groups. He was an adjunct faculty member at State University of New York, College at Oneonta for 5 years and was also a clinical instructor at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL. Dr. Edwards is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Dr. Edwards loves nature and the outdoors. He has been an avid cyclist for more than 30 years. He also enjoys cross-country skiing, kayaking and fly fishing to keep his mind and body healthy. He and his family moved back to Portland, in part, to enjoy all the natural beauty the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
